A Voice For the Voiceless

The Advocacy Project helps marginalized communities to tell their story, claim their rights and produce social change. We recruit graduate students to volunteer as Peace Fellows with partners.

The Impact of Service

"I look at myself as having the potential to be as strong and caring as the amazing women I met in Kenya."

Kate Cummings (Tufts University) volunteered in 2009 as a Peace Fellow for Vital Voices in Africa.

Autumn Graham and CCF

Autumn grew up in Nouvelle-Caledonie, a French overseas territory in the South Pacific. During her ten years overseas with her parents, she attended five different public schools, followed by high school just outside of Montreal, Quebec.

After graduating from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service with a regional concentration in Western Europe and a focus on French politics, she worked for international affairs and child advocacy nonprofit organizations and, most recently, as a counselor at a residential public high school.

Autumn is now pursuing a Masters of Art in Law and Diplomacy at the Fletcher School, Tufts University, with a concentration in international negotiation/conflict resolution and post-conflict studies.

She hopes that her internship with the Citizens’ Constitutional Forum in Suva, Fiji, will provide her with the opportunity to work on regional-focused conflict prevention approaches and return to the Pacific, where she aims to work after graduation.
