Help Improve Access to Information Technology for Women in Bosnia and Herzegovina
In partnership with the American University in Bosnia and Herzegovina's Information Technology club, BOSFAM is providing free computer training sessions for women. Club members are teaching women how to use email, word processing programs and social networking tools. Students are currently volunteering their time and laptops, but BOSFAM's goal is to run and maintain two computer labs in the Tuzla and Srebrenica centers. Please help support this initiative!

Although internet usage is widespread in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the constituency which BOSFAM works with has limited access to these resources. Many of the women participating in the program are using computers for the first time in their lives. The majority of women who are members of BOSFAM's constituency are internally-displaced within the Federation of BiH or are minority returnees to the Republik Srpska, specifically to the Srebrenica municipality. All of these women have relatives and friends living abroad in the Diaspora in countries from the United States to Australia to Sweden. The program seeks to empower women to communicate with their friends and relatives while developing marketable skills.
$200 will purchase a new computer in Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, donations of any amount will be sincerely appreciated. You will be acknowledged on BOSFAM's website as a donor and all donations are tax deductible. If you would prefer to write a check, please make it payable to The Advocacy Project with the memo "BOSFAM IT Project." Checks may be sent to the following address:
