End the Threat of Eviction at Dale Farm
End the threat of eviction at the Dale Farm Travellers community in the UK
After three years of advocating with the Advocacy Project against the threat of eviction, the Travellers of Dale Farm achieved a rousing success in 2008, when the British High Court accepted their argument and allowed them to stay on their land.
This decision is being appealed by the vengeful local council, but AP and the Dale Farm community are moving ahead with a constructive agenda to equip the new Community Center and to train Traveller children in the use of ICT.
Traveller children (right) from Dale Farm protest a local council's threats to tear down their community center. The St. Christopher's Center serves the children of Dale Farm, many of whom do not attend school because of discrimination.Learn more about Dale Farm.
