Action on Disability and Development

Action on Disability and Development Uganda Programme (UGP) started in Uganda in 1987 in a modest way but has grown since in size and scope. Currently, ADD works with 12 national disabled peoples' organisations (NDPOs). ADD supports groups of the most marginalised which include 13 district associations of the blind, 10 district women with disabilities associations and 8 district deaf associations.

Air Uganda

Though a newly registered airline, Air Uganda is no novice in the industry. It is part of a group that has over 40 years of experience in aviation.

Air Uganda is part of the Meridiana group that is based in Olbia - Costa Esmeralda Airport, Italy. Meridiana was founded as Alisarda in 1963 by the Aga Khan as an air-taxi and charter operator to promote tourism to Sardinia. Scheduled services began in 1964 from Olbia. The name Meridiana was adopted in May 1991. The first international services were operated later in 1991 to Barcelona, Paris, London and Frankfurt.

At present Meridiana has grown and expanded to support airlines in Europe , West Africa and East Africa. The group airlines in Europe are Meridiana and EuroFly while our West African airlines are Air Burkina and Air Mali. Uganda Broadcasting Corporation

Uganda Television and Radio Uganda the current Uganda Broadcasting Corporation was born in 1963 one year after Uganda’s independence. The main aims of the Corporation are to develop the former Radio Uganda and UTV into a public national broadcasting center of excellence, for the purpose of providing electronic media and consultancy services that educate and guide the public. It also aims at achieving and sustaining comprehensive national radio and television coverage.
