A Voice For the Voiceless

The Advocacy Project helps marginalized communities to tell their story, claim their rights and produce social change. We recruit graduate students to volunteer as Peace Fellows with partners.

The Impact of Service

"I look at myself as having the potential to be as strong and caring as the amazing women I met in Kenya."

Kate Cummings (Tufts University) volunteered in 2009 as a Peace Fellow for Vital Voices in Africa.

African Network for the Prevention and Protection Against Child Abuse and Neglect Liberia Chapter (ANPPCAN Liberia)

Founded in 2001, the Liberia Chapter of the African Network for the Prevention and Protection Against Child Abuse and Neglect (ANPPCAN) seeks to enhance child rights protection through building the capacities of local communities, professional groups, and governments to protect their own children. ANPPCAN advocates for children's rights by convening and participating in national and regional forums. To achieve its goals ANPPCAN promotes education as a basic right and combats the worst forms of child labor. The chapter also works with communities to develop HIV/AIDS prevention strategies and to mobilize support for AIDS orphans.
