A Voice For the Voiceless
The Advocacy Project helps marginalized communities to tell their story, claim their rights and produce social change. We recruit graduate students to volunteer as Peace Fellows with partners.

Lori Tomoe Mizuno and Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP)
Lori Tomoe Mizuno is an intern with AP's partner organization, Collective Campaign for Peace (COCAP). Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Lori Mizuno attended the University of Washington and received her BA in Comparative History of Ideas in 2003. In her junior year at UW, Lori was a part of a unique study abroad program which took place in Northern Ireland, South Africa, and Cyprus. This experience influenced her interests in international human rights, and led her to pursue graduate studies.
Lori is now a Master's Candidate in Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy at New York University, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Lori will be working with the COCAP team to strengthen the network by building up the information system, working on the development of the website, and also drafting and editing reports to document COCAP's programs. In addition, Lori will help to streamline COCAP's information production for newsletters and updates from the field.
