Tiffany Ommundsen and the Kosovo Women’s Network (KWN)

Teachers College at Columbia University

Tiffany Ommundsen is excited to be joining the Advocacy Project as a 2009 Peace Fellow. This summer, she will be working with the Kosovo Women’s Network (KWN) in Pristina, Kosovo. Tiffany shares the organization’s dedication to the promotion of women’s rights and is eager to gain firsthand experience with grassroots advocacy.

Tiffany received her Master of Arts in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University in February 2009, with coursework in peace education, conflict resolution and law at Columbia Law School.  She is also very proud to have completed internships with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom’s PeaceWomen Project at its UN office and the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center in New Haven, Connecticut.

In 2007, Tiffany earned her Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University, where she studied History, Politics and Judaic Studies. She also studied abroad in Florence, Italy and Galway, Ireland and loves to travel.
