Criteria for Partners
AP has found that its support is most useful to groups that meet the following criteria:
- Advocates on behalf of a large and disempowered constituency.
- Emerges directly from the disempowered constituency.
- Has a commitment to advocacy, OR commits to developing an advocacy plan.
- Uses information tools.
- Works for social justice.
- Uses, or seeks to use, Internet communication tools.
- Uses, or seeks to use, networking.
- Has an impact in their societies that extends beyond their immediate communities.
- Seeks to produce direct and measurable benefits for the affected communities.
- Commits to hosting an intern (fellow).
- Is transparently run and provides references and information when asked.
