A Voice For the Voiceless

The Advocacy Project helps marginalized communities to tell their story, claim their rights and produce social change. We recruit graduate students to volunteer as Peace Fellows with partners.

The Impact of Service

"I look at myself as having the potential to be as strong and caring as the amazing women I met in Kenya."

Kate Cummings (Tufts University) volunteered in 2009 as a Peace Fellow for Vital Voices in Africa.

Reports from Dale Farm

This section includes reports compiled by the Dale Farm community and their supporters, and sent to The Advocacy Project for publication on the AP website.

Most were written between 2005 and 2008 by Grattan Puxon, Secretary of the Dale Farm Housing Association. For the last few years, Grattan has speared the non-violent Dale Farm efforts against being forcibly evicted or relocated by the local British governments and town councils.

In his reports, Grattan chronicles the legal fight between the Travellers on one side, and the local populations and town councils on the other. He also gives information about protests and petitions, and other ways that readers can support Dale Farm's population.
