A Voice For the Voiceless

The Advocacy Project helps marginalized communities to tell their story, claim their rights and produce social change. We recruit graduate students to volunteer as Peace Fellows with partners.

The Impact of Service

Dozens of tear gas shells were fired inside the college premises. Stone throwing continued by police and student protestors that led to injuries on both sides. Four injured students were taken to the nearby hospital for emergency treatment. Bystanders passing by were hit with batons by police in spite of their lack of involvement in the demonstration.

Meanwhile, students organized a torch rally around Katmandu. But during the torch rally at Mitidevi, police physically assaulted many students. During the clash some students managed to resume a torch rally further from the protest area.
