Ishanee Chanda is currently pursuing the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) at Georgetown University with a focus on refugee and humanitarian emergencies. She is particularly interested in refugee and migration issues in South Asia and Southern Europe, their resettlement practices, the protection of human rights, and the rise of right-wing nationalism. She is also interested in South Asian regional affairs on politics and religious conflict. Ishanee hopes to pursue a career in refugee resettlement, humanitarian aid and development, and public diplomacy. She speaks Italian, Bengali, Odia, and Hindi.
