The Fifth Middle Eastern Refugee Quilt (2018)

The blocks for this quilt were stitched in 2018 by refugees who fled from war in Syria and found refuge in Jordan. Their stories describe acts of terror by Islamic State fighters. The project was sponsored by the Collateral Repair Project, an AP partner that supports refugees in Amman. Peace Fellow Teresa Perosa oversaw the stitching and brought the blocks to the US where they were assembled by Merry May in New Jersey.
