The blocks for this quilt were stitched by 20 mothers in Kenya whose children suffer from the skin condition of albinism. Their stories describe the isolation and stigma suffered by their children, and rejection by their husbands. The project was sponsored by the Albinism Society of Kenya. The blocks were quilted by Christine Danler, North Carolina.
