Alexis is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown University (Class of 2026). She is concentrating in International Development and pursuing a certificate in Gender, Peace, and Security, with a focus in Nepal. Prior to joining The Advocacy Project, Alexis earned her BA in International Studies from California State University, Long Beach, where she graduated cum laude and was recognized as a 2019 Distinguished Graduate by the department. As a Peace Fellow, Alexis will be partnered with BASE, supporting fieldwork that explores the multiple dimensions of socioeconomic exclusion among various marginalized communities located in Nepal’s far western region. Working alongside Pinky from BASE, she will help to develop income-generating pathways for these communities with the goal of fostering long-term self-sufficiency and socioeconomic resilience.
