Chhime Sherpa

Chhime Sherpa

I’m a young Nepali Sherpa woman. I consider myself a dis-placed Indigenous human being of nature. My early childhood was shaped in the context of war, but shielded from its worst effects. My adolescent years were shared with the post-conflict spaces of Kathmandu and Mostar. I studied Global Challenges and International Justice as an undergraduate, and Transitional Justice, Human Rights and Rule of Law as a graduate student. I think with the lenses and biases of human rights and international law, Buddhist philosophy, transitional justice, and lately, increasingly, posthumanism.
