Hanshika Neupane

Hanshika is an International Relations student at Tufts University from Kathmandu, Nepal, with academic and research interests focused on human rights, transitional justice, and social movements in South Asia and the Middle East. Her work examines how communities affected by conflict, exclusion, and political violence pursue justice, preserve memory, and advocate for social change. Hanshika has conducted independent research on the experiences of Dalit women in post-conflict Nepal and has worked on projects exploring online extremism, hate speech, and democratic resilience. She has also contributed to archival and visual storytelling initiatives with Nepal Picture Library and Photo Kathmandu, using history and memory as tools for public engagement and advocacy. As a Peace Fellow, Hanshika will work with Dr. Ram Bhandari and the Network of Families of the Disappeared and Missing Nepal (NEFAD) to support advocacy and research initiatives focused on enforced disappearances, victim rights, and community-based approaches to truth and justice in Nepal.
